Counseling / Therapy

Often used interchangeably, terms like “counseling” and “therapy” have a subtle but important distinction. Counseling is typically a short-term approach, focusing on specific, concrete problems. It’s often solution-oriented and may be completed in 6 to 12 sessions. Think of it as targeted support for a particular issue. While therapy tends to be a longer-term process. It delves deeper into the psychological and behavioral patterns and personal histories to understand the root causes of struggle. Therapy is open-ended and aims for more profound, lasting change in the long term well-being of a person.
