How Values Create Resilience

For this month’s newsletter message, I want to step back again and give the spotlight to some words of wisdom from someone else.
They will help us consider some important things related to our general levels of well-being with a focus on the following:

  • Values
  • Resilience
  • Forward Progress
  • Happiness

So much of the work we do together here at Liberated Mind involves exploring Values.

This month, I am sharing another episode of Hidden Brain (yes, I’m a fan of this podcast series); it is a very nice explanation of how and why values create a stabilizing feature in our lives. Shankar speaks with Professor Eranda Jayawickreme from Wake Forest University about how values can provide us with resilience in the face of struggle, suffering, pain, trauma, and even loss.

Give it a listen, it is well worth your time:

I look forward to hearing what you think about this in our continued work together.
